There will be an Act of Remembrance in Postling Church on 11th November at 5.30pm to mark the centenary of the end of the first world war. We will listen to music, poems and readings from the period, and will sing and pray together. Including ‘The Lark Ascending’ by Vaughan Williams, ‘Pie Jesu’ by Fauré and readings from Testament of Youth and All Quiet on the Western Front

A bonfire Beacon will then be lit on the Downs at 7.00 pm, and you are warmly invited to climb up to enjoy its warmth!



Christmas in Postling

Monday 17th December 7.30pm. Advent Carols with the Shepway Singers, followed by seasonal refreshments

Thursday 20th December 6pm. Carol Singing around the village, meet at the village hall and bring a torch. Refreshments afterwards at ‘Normandy’.

Friday 21st December 6pm. Happy Hour Village Christmas Special (details overleaf)

Sunday 23rd December 6pm. Advent Meditation by candlelight in the Church

Monday 24th December 11.30am Christmas Eve Crib Service

Tuesday 25th December 9.30 am Christmas Day Service of Holy Communion


Coffee Mornings Instead of the usual Coffee Morning, there will be a special Craft Fair in the Village Hall from 10am-2pm on Saturday November 10th.

A perfect place to find Christmas presents. £3 entrance including coffee and cake.

There will be a Coffee Morning in the Church from 10-12 noon on Saturday December 8th.

All profits will go to the Pilgrims’ Hospices
